Musings of a Florist :: visit flirty fleurs on Tuesdays and read a variety of musings by me – Alicia Schwede, editor of the blog.

I’ll be sharing some thoughts of what I’ve learned, what I would do differently, and what I’m thankful for on this flower filled journey I’ve been on since 1998.

The To Do List

Self-employment, the place where you are in charge, where you call the shots and the place where, most importantly, it’s up to you to keep yourself accountable. Isn’t that fun? Yes, I’m telling you it’s not all about playing with flowers all the time – sorry 😉
It’s more like to-do lists, computer work, paper work… and chances are no one else is going to hold you accountable for crossing items off that list other than YOU.
Personally I love a good old-fashioned to do list written out on paper and a red pen nearby so when items are crossed off it feels truly complete. (Anyone else ever put things on the list so you can immediately cross it off?? 🙋‍♀️)
So find what works for you and tackling that to do list. For me it’s not fancy, a simple spiral notebook does the job. I have the long term to-do list and the ‘get this done this week’ to-do list .. and notes on various projects.
I’m pretty sure I’m babbling on about to do lists because it is Monday morning and my to do lists are staring back at me…
So on that note – grab that red pen and start crossing off items on that list, friends! 🖍
