Wedding Inspiration

Thought I’d share one of my recent weddings with all of you as I tried out a few new-to-me rose varieties which you might find interesting. I’m completely smitten with Salma by Nevado Roses. It is a great rose to go with David Austin Juliet Roses. Also, with this wedding I tried out Peterkort’s Wendy rose, usually I favor the Moonstruck variety.

Salma Peach Rose by Nevado, Milky Way Cream Rose

Salma by Nevado Roses is the Peach Rose.
Milky Way rose by GreenRose is the bottom one, just like Vendela Rose. I did hear a rumor that it is the same rose with a new name?

Salma Rose by Nevado and Juliet Garden Roses - peach roses

Top and top right is David Austin Juliet garden rose. The bottom two roses are Salma by Nevado roses. I love how these two roses work together, the Salma is quite large and takes up more space in designs.

Peterkort Roses - Wendy

Peterkort’s Wendy Rose, a nice spray rose. Great for boutonnieres and corsages!

  1. david dahlson says:

Milky Way is a Vendela with a double heart. These used to be graded out and thrown away, but with the current surge in interest in garden roses and fully double flowers, the smart gentlemen at Greenrose made lemonade out of lemons. So, not a rumor but a fact.
Pursuant to that they also renamed the double hearts of Rosita Vendela as Pretty in Pink, which is a luscious rose to use in wedding work.

  2. The colors and textures are fab-u-lous.

  3. These colors are my personal faves. Peachy tones and blue- aqua shades have forever been my spirit-color palette. Then adding in the scabiosa pods in taupe with the same tones in the pieris…..ahhhhhh. Recently got to use Wendy roses, and yes, they are divine!
