I recently traveled through Italy on my 18 day honeymoon. The locals were wonderful, the food was fabulous(and pretty), and the flowers were plentiful. I couldn’t help but stop and browse at every flower shop we happened upon. You can’t take the flower enthusiasm out of me, even on vacation. Here is a snippet of what I saw in Rome.
The first four images are of a floral shop located right outside our hotel in Rome. There was nothing out of the ordinary about the place but I was impressed that they had all the free water that any floral professional could ever want. Pretty cool!
I caught the tail end of a ceremony on our journey through Rome. Sweetheart roses were everywhere through all of Italy. I saw many bridal bouquets but this was the best shot I could get without appearing like a crazy tourist!
The Amalfi Coast is host to many destination weddings throughout the year. There wasn’t a day(6 of them) that I didn’t see a bride and groom walking the tiny streets of this area. It’s an amazing backdrop and attracts clientele from all over the world.
The next images are of a small floral shop located in Positano. I’m assuming they have higher end clients as the shop had some of the more expensive flower types in house. I didn’t get to chat much with them as there was a bit of a language barrier. The Lily of the Valley bouquet was headed out the door for an afternoon wedding.
Thank you, Cori, for these photographs and giving us a glimpse into flower life in Italy!
